BEFORE your move

Whether you’re looking into ADT in Salt Lake or searching for a beach house in Ventura there are some universal truths to moving that can’t be avoided. Here’s a list of things not to forget lest you find yourself more stressed than you were before
Set Up Utilities: Set up whatever utilities you can BEFORE you move in to avoid the hassles of living in the dark or without internet for the first few weeks. If you want sanity, don’t forget to turn on the water.
Change Your Address: Contact the Post Office about 3 weeks before your move to make sure they’ve got your new address – they’ll start forwarding whatever day you ask them to. That way you won’t have to worry about mail getting stuck in the interim.
Meet the Neighbors: This one can wait until you actually move in but if you get the chance let them know before the day of their street’s going to be tied up. It’s courteous and a great way to break ground with strangers you better hope you end up liking!
